Meeting Adam Jones in London: A Surreal Experience

Meeting Adam Jones at the Gibson Garage in London was a surreal experience for me. From grabbing exclusive merch to getting my hoodie signed by my favorite guitarist, it was a day I’ll never forget.

Meeting Adam Jones—my all-time favorite guitarist—was straight-up unreal. I was in London on vacation with my sister when I found out Adam Jones was doing a meet and greet at the Gibson Garage in London—the day after I was supposed to fly out. So what did I do? Ummm, extend my flight by a day to meet him. Absolutely. Worth. It.

I showed up hours early, thank god, because the line that formed later was wild. After hanging outside for a bit, we finally got in, and that’s when it hit me: I was about to meet Adam freakin' Jones.

Inside, we had free reign to grab some merch for Adam to sign. I snagged a sick poster, an Adam Jones t-shirt, and a limited edition Adam Jones x Gibson hoodie. Originally I was going to have him sign the hoodie but right before I went up to meet him I switched it out for the poster because I panicked thinking I'd never wear the hoodie in fear of the signature coming off. When it was my turn to meet him, I handed him the poster to sign. He was super chill—just as down to earth as you'd hope. Shaking hands with the guy who wrote some of the most mind-blowing riffs ever was a moment I’ll never forget.

What made the day even better was meeting other Tool fans. Everyone was cool as hell, sharing stories about their favorite tracks and what Tool’s music has meant to them. It felt like being part of a tight-knit community—like we were all in on the same incredible secret. Tool Army Unite!

The whole experience was incredible. If you ever get the chance to meet Adam or any of the guys from Tool, do it. You won’t regret a second of it.
